人気脚本家・古沢良太のオリジナル脚本、長澤まさみ、東出昌大、小日向文世の主演で好評を博した同名ＴＶドラマの劇場版。コンフィデンスマン（＝信用詐欺師）のダー子、ボクちゃん、リチャードの３人が香港を舞台に繰り広げる大胆不敵な詐欺計画の行方を、二転三転するストーリー展開で奇想天外に描いた痛快エンタテインメント・コメディ。共演に小手伸也、竹内結子、三浦春馬、江口洋介。監督はドラマ版に引き続き田中亮。
美しきコンフィデンスウーマンのダー子が次なるターゲットに選んだのは香港マフィアの女帝ラン・リウ。狙いは彼女が持つと言われている伝説のパープルダイヤ。さっそくボクちゃん、リチャードとともに香港へと降り立つが、ランはなかなかエサに食いついてこない。そうこうするうち、同じくランを狙う天才詐欺師のジェシーが現われ、何やらダー子との過去も絡んで計画は波乱含みに。おまけに、かつて一杯食わされたダー子への復讐に燃える日本のヤクザ赤星の影もちらつき始め、いよいよ窮地に陥るダー子だったが…。
This is the theatrical film adaptation of the popular TV drama of the same name, based on an original screenplay by acclaimed screenwriter Ryota Furusawa and starring Masami Nagasawa, Masahiro Higashide, and Fumiyo Kohinata. It's a thrilling and entertaining comedy depicting the audacious scam plot of three confidence men—Daruko, Bokuchan, and Richard—set in Hong Kong, with a story that twists and turns in a fantastical way. Co-starring are Shinya Kote, Yuko Takeuchi, Haruma Miura, and Yosuke Eguchi. Ryo Tanaka, who directed the TV series, returns as director.
The beautiful confidence woman, Daruko, has chosen Lan Liu, the empress of the Hong Kong mafia, as her next target. Her target is the legendary purple diamond that Lan is said to possess. She immediately lands in Hong Kong with Bokuchan and Richard, but Lan is not easily swayed by their bait. Meanwhile, Jesse, a genius con artist also targeting Ran, appears, and the plan becomes fraught with complications as it seems to involve Daruko's past. On top of that, the shadow of Akaboshi, a Japanese yakuza burning with revenge against Daruko for making a fool of her in the past, begins to loom, putting Daruko in an increasingly desperate situation...
