心の中に問題を抱えるエグゼクティブ青年ジャックはタイラーと名乗る男と知り合う。ふとしたことからタイラーとジャックが殴り合いを始めると、そこには多くの見物人が。その後、タイラーは酒場の地下でファイト・クラブなる拳闘の秘密集会を仕切ることに。たくさんの男たちがスリルを求めて集まるようになるが、やがてそのクラブは恐るべきテロ集団へと変貌していく……。「セブン」のコンビ、ブラピとフィンチャー監督が再び組んだ衝撃作。
